Hey LeSweat team and members! I have a question about cross-training. I would like to supplement LeSweat TV strength workouts with other types of training. I usually do swimming twice a week, climbing once a week and I like a long weekend bike ride occasionally too. But I'm never sure what would be the best way to pair LeSweat workouts with these activities. Any advice?
And related to that - How important is it to have at least one rest day? Is it a deal breaker or can I use rest days to cross train?
Hi Sofya, rest days are essential! I would recommend using Le Sweat for the mobility, strength, and stretch classes to add to your current training program.
Hi Charlee, thanks for your response! Do rest days have to be completely passive, like lying all day in front of the tv and doing no exercise at all? Or is it ok to do a different kind of exercise to the normal routine on rest days (eg, a long bike ride or a couple of hours bouldering if that's not what you do as part of your daily exercise routine)?
Hi Sofya, life usually takes care of the days where we sit around and do nothing. For your scheduled rest days, I would just recommend staying active by getting at least 10k steps, but not doing anything that is going to push the body. It will look different for everybody and you are the best judge of how you feel. Hope that helps.
